Over priced drinks with misleading listings. Drinks listed come as doubles and 12yr scotches priced at 14yr price
The food was awful!! The pizza tastes like a frozen pizza that was microwaved. $10 each for those. We also ordered nachos that tasted stale to 3 of us eating but the manager came out to tell us he disagreed. If we weren’t hungry and had any other choice, I would have walked away. So not worth $50, maybe $5. Since one star has to be given, I will say that the only positive was that our waitress was nice.
Hope you like hair in your food (see photo posted) and nearly missing flights because it takes 45 minutes to get some boneless buffalo wings. 15 minutes just to get my order take.
The workers here could not care less that they work at an AIRPORT. People have deadlines to get on their plane but the employees lethargically move from a customer to the warming station literally right behind them. After they finish one, they mysteriously disappear to the back for minutes only to return with their snail pace. Manager acted the exact same way. Good food, fire your staff.
For airport food, pretty good. Meatballs are above average. A little pricey.
Horrible customer service. Rude staff and bad food. Only thig it has going for is that its the only place to eat at the Delta terminal. Eat chips from snack shop you will be better off! I Went to sit I was also told tables were for restaurant customers, obviously with a box of your aweful pizza in hand I am a paying customer and should be allowed to sit down, there was several empty tables !! It didnt help that the employee was super rude. The lady taking orders and cooking was on top of things but her coworker s were goofing off . Took forever for the youngster to quit playing around wth her coworkers and check us out. Just skip this place aweful staff and worse food.
Food taste aweful, maybe one of worst run restaurants ever, should be 0 stars. Should be closed down. All the bad reviews are so right. Limited menu items not available. Service is worst i can remember. Complete confusion behind the counter, messed up my entire simple order . i had to throw away my half toasted bagel.don't go unless you are starving🤢
Upon arrival there was a line but I decided to order anyway, got my sandwich and 20 minutes went by and I was still in line, the new cashier was responsible for ringing out customers and getting there coffee, the supervisor came out to fix a register problem looked at the line and walked back to the office and left his crew hanging, I gave them back my sandwich and left. As a supervisor myself I would of came out from behind and helped my crew. I never complain but it was not good.
Gave us lukewarm pasta while the table next to us had warm pasta that's still steaming. Minimal service. The only reason we ate here is because there isn't any other non-sandwich options. I should've brought some cup noodles with me =(
I ordered two pizzas before the rush. The original tone estimate was 10 minutes. After 20 minutes and seeing our pizzas made and our order be taken to the restaurant next door. I got asked twice for a reminder what my order was and after waiting a half an hour, I finally see a second order of our pizzas go into the oven. We get to wait another "10 minutes" if we're lucky. The tickets are not at all organized in the kitchen and I think that's why our order was lost.
I got the meatball smasher and my mom got a pizza, expecting a 10 minute or less wait— this doesn’t exactly look like a “made fresh” kind of place, you know? After over 20 minutes we got our food, served on styrofoam plates. The top of the meatballs on my sub were burnt and they had very little flavor. Wouldn’t recommend.
Service was very poor. I stood at the counter (only one in line) for 10 minutes. I finally asked if this was where they took orders. She replied yes and she kept standing there. Another 4 minutes later, she asked for my order. On a positive note, the pizza was very good.
Reasonably priced wine but boneless chicken wings were gross.
Pizza 🍕 without sauce was wired. Pan personal pizza is too pricey.
Well I am running out of options in the morning when traveling in this terminal. The food is ok. The service is ok. The other options are waiting the incredible long line at Starbucks or that awful service at the bagel place. Maybe FLL needs to make some changes
Pizza was just ok and they still have items on their menu that they no longer serve which was pretty disappointing.
Ok size bagel ham and egg sandwich. The young man passed the buck to my lovely sandwich maker. He said he did not know how to make it. Really why is he even behind the counter. It's toasted only on the outside. Sam PipitoneOct. 4,2017 8:50 a.m.
I don’t even want to waste my time describing how horrible this experience was. Just trust me- come in with zero... and I mean zero... expectations and then lower that some more.
Not a bad little place for a airport fast food restaurant pizzaService was rather quick.Food was pretty good, a little saucy but other than that good.
One word to describe their service: RUDE
Food and customer service is very subpar. Would not recommend given the prices.
The workers here don’t care for customers. I kept waiting to be seated, but no one asked. The tomato basil pizza had a pinch of green sauce, that’s it. That’s what they call basil. No other option on this terminal. Broken machines, everybody manually typing the card details, added to the wait.
I’m in airports weekly. This was the absolute worst restaurant I’ve ever been in from beginning to ending.1. The sign says wait for assistance at the entrance. The person walks up after a long wait and says with and attitude and a huff “just find a spot, it’s not busy”. 2. Never got waited on. After 10 minutes I ask the gentleman next to me if they took orders from the table. He said I’d have to wave someone down. I had to ask for a menu and to place my order.3. I ordered pizza and I was brought the wrong pizza after a 30 min wait. I knew it would take another 30 for a new pizza so I ate it. It was no better than a microwave pizza.4. The systems were down so it took another 15 min to get my ticket and pay.5. The only plus was that my server was pleasant and was definitely trying to stay positive in a terribly ran establishment.Steer clear!
I very much enjoyed my Angry Orchard. The pizza was okay. The service was incredible. My servers name was Innoncia was incredible.
Don't eat here. It's that simple. Unfortunately there isn't much to eat in the terminal. Do yourself a favor and just buy some snacks and the news stand. It will taste better and more important you won't have to deal with extremely rude staff. This is the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE that I did not leave a tip. STAY AWAY.
How can a facility in the airport take an hour to bring out the food? I don't get it. People are traveling, not killing time
Apparently, Torn “Basil” is only a name....and NOT an actual ingredient in this restaurant’s food offerings, despite that it lists “basil” on its menu AND they showcase lovely green “basil” in its photos! In fact, the employee admitted “we don’t have any “basil” here; it’s not on the pizza.” Horribly misleading and horrible customer service too!
Terrible experience. Racially bias bartender. Will ruin your day, month, and year. A bag of lays chips is more appetizing and worth the money. Janet was a disrespectful racially bias bartender who should be fired. Restaurant industry isn't for everyone.
Good for airport pizza. But pizza is so small. It is the smallest pizza I have ever seen. Don't go with the grandma pizza it's really bad. The cheese was good.
There were not many options in the airport. The place was crowded and under staffed. The food was awful. We got the nachos and the wings. Nachos were just okay but the wings please do not waste your money! The pizza everyone around us were mainly dough. I have ate at airports before. I know they are always overpriced...but this place was not worth it at all. Wish I would have waited to eat. The service was not the best; I am not sure if they were just that busy or if it was terrible service. I asked the server about the wings and felt like she just blew off my question. It is okay to say that is not my favorite item or just flat say they are cheap microwaved pieces of chicken tossed in the worse bbq sauce ever made :/ Would have not have even given 1 star!
Absolutely honorable! Food and service... I've had to eat here twice in the last month because there are no other options in this airport. Cold food, poor service. This airport needs to read these reviews and fix this!
Made the mistake of assuming the menu was at least generally accurate in the description of its food. Nothing like 10 bucks for effectively a microwave pizza. Red pepper flakes added by me because not only is it not spicy as advertised it is rather devoid of flavor.
Don’t mind the bartender passing me once, or twice, or three times without as much as a greeting...Fourth time?...I’m off to the self service, where the cashier couldn’t break from her conversation with a co-worker to say thank you as she blindly extended her arm with my receipt...the perfect ending was a waitress intercepting me before sitting down in an almost empty seating area to tell me the tables weren’t for self service - I should grab a stool in another area. Bravo Torn Basil...worst customer service experience in a restaurant - ever...and that’s pretty hard to do...
I never leave reviews, but this food was so bad I felt compelled. Ordered a Caprese salad and chicken wings in buffalo sauce. The wings are boneless, and are basically very cheap chicken nuggets. The buffalo sauce is FOUL. By far the worst food I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. It tastes (and looks) like tomato ketchup. STINKING. Don’t eat here. Wait time also very long. I feel nauseous from the 2 wings that I forced myself to eat. Bad bad bad.
This Torn Basil eatery is in the FLL airport terminal 2 . I’m there now and it is quite busy due to no competition on this side of terminal 2. I had the pasta and meatballs . It was bland until the salt, pepper and garlic was added. However the beer was cold and tasty. Thanks for reading my review and a thumbs up would increase my google rating.
Terrible customer service. Charged more than menu indicated and was selling expired products. When attempting to get a refund they admitted they just sold it to me and took the product but refused to give me a refund because I threw out the receipt.
How bad can an airport restaurant be? Waited in line for a table for 10 minutes even though there were tons of empty tables. Finally sat down and waited 25 min to order - I had to get up twice and beg for someone to take my order. The napkin the guy brought to my table clearly had already been used 🤮And now since ordering a small grandma pizza which from looking at the other coming out will surely disappoint, I have been waiting for 20 more minutes. So that’s pretty much an hour of waiting and no food. People - this an airport and people have flights catch. I think this is the worst airport restaurant of all time. The guy next to me had ordered his pizza while I was still in line and he still had no food. WTH? Shame on the Fort Lauderdale airport for allowing this lousy service and lousy food to continue.
I’ve eaten here twice in three weeks because I had to. The first time, the young lady waiting on me obviously felt she was doing me a favor and wanted to be somewhere else. This morning I got an egg and bacon sandwich. The service was better until I went to sit down and was informed that the tables were for table service only. I had ordered at the counter. I’m not sure what they were serving at the tables because all I saw were people with coffee and there weren’t any breakfast items on the table menu. I’ll also add that there were many tables vacant. All I can say is that this establishment needs some competition. With competition, they will either improve or go out of buisiness. Either way, the customer will benefit. I hope the owner/management takes this seriously.
Absolute garbage as well as false advertising. The service was rushed and dare i say rude. My partner and I ordered the nachos to start. The hand crushed tomatoes were not even in the dish, the “melted cheese” was liquid squeeze cheese and jalepenos were included which were not listed and I am allergic to. Needless to say we sent the nachos back. The pizzas that are marketed as being “fresh” were nothing of the sort. They are simply just to go meals. The fresh hand torn basil that they claim they have on their pizzas is in reality basil out of a jar. Which is pathetic considering their name is the Torn Basil. I’ve had more appetizing food at gas stations... deplorable!
Worst service ever!!! Employees don’t care about customers, they are rude and very unfriendly. Didn’t even seem to care about their job.
Soooooo bad that it's hilarious. We could have made a better pizza in an easy bake oven. The breakfast sandwich bagel was stale. Save yourself and go to Starbucks. No choices in this dinky gate area unfortunately.
Don't bother wasting your time. First time I've ever walked out after ordering food. We were seated in a timely manner but waited over 15 minutes to be greeted or asked for our order by a very rude waitress. We asked another if she was taking our table or the other and received a very short and irritated "she will be with you." We watched as others were seated, ordered and received food while we waited. No sorry about your wait, how are you, nothing but 'what do you want'? Seriously?Another 20 min later, waitress returns to inform us they do not have the sandwich I ordered. We left, ordered and received food at Starbucks quicker and more friendly than it took just to seat us.
some of the worst customer service I have ever had. Food was edible but had to get angry to get my second pizza even though I ordered two of the same pizza and they were both in the warmer, they gave me one and ignored me until I had to get a little loud about giving me the other pizza. Employees were either on the phone or talking to other employees while the line was at least 20-30 people deep. Manager nowhere to be found despite several other customers asking to speak to them. Avoid this place if you can, but given the lacking food choices in the airport as whole you may not have any other choice. But still a salad or packaged sandwich from the convenience store would be a better choice. One of the worst airports and customer experiences I had ever had...
The place was packed. The bartender and one sever worked to keep everyone happy despite the kitchen being behind. The classic pizza was the best version of a Margherita pizza I’ve had in Memphis. I loved it!
They won't let their own customers sit at their tables to eat. Very bad service. They want "take out" orders to sit outside the restaurant area, and is unclear before you have ordered your meal.
This place is SHEER chaos! But the food was good one you figure out where to pay (I recommend the cash register instad of the glass counter. ;) )
Worst pizza I've ever eaten or even seen in my entire life. Grandma pizza is terrible. Worse than expected, and I expected a frozen pizza out of an oven. Legit don't know how you can make a pizza this bad.
Arriving early for a flight is mandatory lately. Having your flight delayed and cancelled has become more commonplace. Closing all food outlets, save one, at a busy airport terminal is just plain cruel. The lineup of people waiting to get in was about 50 people long. As there was nowhere else to go we waited. The woman saw our meal vouchers as she was showing us to our seats and made a remark which made me think she was going to refuse us seats.if we weren't buying alcohol, since the line was so long. We quickly ordered drinks and food. The prices are in line with a place that holds a monopoly in an airport. There was literally nowhere else to go. The pizzas were small but tasty. When the other places complete construction I can't imagine this place lasting very long. A traveler's trap.
The food was great and my beer was great also but my overall experience was terrible. My wife and I were assigned to a table that had not been cleared and we waited for at least 20 minutes before it was cleared. Even after it was cleared we had to wait for a long time before the waitress whose name was Christin finally came to take our order. Brought us the wrong beer so we sent it back. We waited for so long to get our food that we decided to play a game of cards while we waited. Luckily, we had plenty of time before our flight but we were hungry and this was the only place to eat in this terminal. The only redemption was the pizza which was great and my New England IPA which was fantastic. Not a good place to be if you are a tired traveler.
I wish i could leave zero stars. Food was horrible and very bad. Ordered some pizza and it was hair on it. Black and curly. There was no one to complain to and the server was slow and very mean! Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere before catching your flight.
